1. Immediate Relief: For immediate relief from discomfort and to minimize redness, apply a cold compress or a dermatologist-recommended soothing gel to the treated area. Refrain from using aggressive or harsh skin care products right after the treatment.
2. Hydration and Skin Barrier Support: The skin may exhibit signs of dryness or tautness post-treatment. Utilize a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer to hydrate your skin. Consider products that contain Hyaluronic Acid, as they excel in moisture retention.
3. Solar Precautions: Your skin will be particularly vulnerable to UV damage following the procedure. Minimize direct sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 when venturing outside.
4. Thermal Caution: Avoid direct exposure to heat sources such as saunas, hot water baths, or strenuous workouts for at least 24 to 48 hours post-treatment, as this can exacerbate inflammation and hinder your skin’s natural recovery process.
5. Exfoliation Alert: Skip any form of exfoliation or skin peeling products for a minimum of one week post-procedure to avoid additional irritation and to facilitate the healing process.
6. Skincare Simplicity: For the initial seven days post-procedure, cleanse your face with plain water. Eliminate products containing alcohol, retinoids, or skin-resurfacing acids like salicylic or glycolic acid from your routine to avoid potential irritation.
